2nd Bootcamp: Statutory Compliances for an Event Agency and learning how to run an Event IP
Intellectual Property, a term referring to intangible property that is a result of a creative process. While its criticality cannot be stressed upon enough, more important is the safeguarding of IP.
Commercially leveraging a company’s IP has to be done keeping in place certain legal procedures. Contracts play a huge role in ensuring that the interests of the company are protected.
Another important factor that needs to be taken into consideration is the Statutory Compliances for any Event Agency.
Proper enforcement of legal formalities and a thorough understanding of what it entails is an integral part of any legal team of a company.
The accounting practices that are best suited for the company as well as the legal protocols that need to be put in place are some of the biggest decisions that need to be made by any company for that matter.
As part of an event company, we at team.i wish to educate others on the kind of IP’s that is used by event companies and the nature of contracts that are put in place.
Every event company strives to create unique experiences for their clients. These ideas need to be safeguarded to protect the interest of the company.
Additionally, adding value to these creative ideas is what makes it valuable.
This goes to show that the protection of copyrights and establishment of compliances is a crucial function of any event company and needs the expertise of legal and financial experts to safeguard its rights.
On the 8th, 9th and 10th of May, 2020, we at team.i were joined by Ms. Raddhika Singh and Mr. Rajesh N for the 2nd Bootcamp session of the year.
Over the course of 3 days they did a remarkable job in covering the requisites and mandatories that is required by someone looking to start an event agency and even for those already in the field.
It was one of the best received and thoroughly enjoyed Bootcamp sessions till date and catered to everyone having a business venture of their own.
The speakers were well read and were able to form a rapport with the attendees making the session interesting and helping the participants understand certain complex topics in a simple yet captivating way.
All in all, the 2nd Bootcamp of the year was truly one to go down in the books.
The 3 day long session was as good as having attended a year long session as the knowledge and experience imparted was worth more than paid for.
In case you missed out on this wonderful learning experience, do not worry. We got you covered.
